Construction / Project Manager - Current Opening

IEM is looking for a self-motivated individual, interested in personal growth, to join our expanding team.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Construction Management, engineering, or related field
  • Professional license/registration/certification preferred (PE, CCM, PMP)
  • Minimum of 15 years related work experience on public works projects
  • Experience in management a range of projects from small to large technically complex multi-million dollar projects
  • Experience in providing construction management services for water/wastewater facilities, port/harbor facilities, school facilities, airports
  • Experience in client relationship management
  • Familiar with MS Office applications and project management software, such as Expedition, Prolog, Word, Excel, etc

Essential Job Functions:

    Manage project's daily activities; coordinate with contractor, design engineer, and owner; coordinate with permitting agencies; manage project team members; oversee project construction and close-out activities; manage project completion from pre-design to final close-out; coordinate with design engineer to resolve unforeseen site conditions and change orders; review change order requests for merit; negotiate and resolve change orders; prepare responses to all incoming correspondences; prepare progress reports; conduct weekly progress meetings; review and respond to administrative RFIs and submittals; perform constructability revieew; resolve potential claims

Project Engineer - Current Opening

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in either engineering, construction management, or related field
  • PE or CCM is desired
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience on public works projects
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles
  • Familiar with MS applications and project management software, such as Expedition, Prolog, Word, Excel, etc. a must

  • Coordinate and respond to RFIs, submittals and change order requests; prepare progress reports; cooperate with design engineer to resolve site unforeseen condtions and change orders; assist in negotiating and resolving change orders; prepare as-built drawings; perform constructability review

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in either construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience in estimating public works projects
  • Experienced in preparing order-of-magnitude to detail cost estimates during various design phases
  • Experienced in preparing construction change order estimates and ability to negotiate change orders with the contractors
  • Must have strong analytical, logical, and reasoning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced in MS Office applications, On-Screen Take-Off or similar

Scheduler - Current Opening

IEM is looking for a self-motivated individual, interested in personal growth, to join our expanding team.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in either construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience in computerized scheduing experience
  • Experienced in preparing construction schedules from available plans and specifications
  • Experienced in analyzing contractor's baseline schedule, monthly schedule updates, time impact analysis
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Sure Trak, Claim Digger, Microsoft Project, and Practical CPM scheduling
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare project schedule from the available plans and specifications; prepare time impact schedules; prepare parallel weekly schedules; monitor and review contractor's baseline schedule as well as monthly schedule updates and prepare written review comment; monitor contractor's progress and compare it to the latest approved schedule, verify accuracy of the 3-week look-ahead schedules

Document Control Specialist

IEM is looking for a self-motivated individual, interested in personal growth, to join our expanding team.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of experience in providing document control services to construction management/program management teams
  • Working knowledge of MS office required
  • Experience with project management softwares, such as Expedition and Prolog, is desired
  • Detailed-oriented, exceptional organizational skills, strong filing skills

Essential Job Functions:

  • Log and file incoming and outgoing correspondences; Assist Project Manager in processing payment requests, change orders, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs); Prepare meeting minutes; assist in preparing project progress report; Establish and maintain a project document filing system in accordance with established procedures
